The fall weather has definitely set in. I love wearing sweaters. This is one of my favorite plum sweaters I just can't seem to get rid of. I love the simple knit pattern, and the deep plum color. I got it from JC Penney a while back for pretty cheap, $12. It's such a simple silhouette, when it comes to something this simple. who cares where you get it from? Most people mistake it for a sweater from Ralph Lauren or J. Crew, but it's not.
I think most people are so caught up with the equation that style = money. I love the new ad campaign that Kmart has come out with that has the tag line "Money can't buy you style." It's absolutely right. Money can't buy you style. If you have style, it doesn't matter where you get something, where it comes from, how much it was. It's you that makes it stylish; It's the way you put it with other items that makes the piece become more expensive. Especially when you wear it with confidence.
I'm wearing this with a gray skirt I got from Urban Outfitters on sale for $5! I got it a while back but it was a great purchase. I don't think I've bought a single thing full price from that store, or really from any. I just can't see myself purchasing anything from Urban Outfitters full price, they're items are so expensive, and really, in my opinion, not worth it.
This is also my signature hat! I know that sounds stupid, isn't a beret so trendy? I just love wearing my beret during fall and winter because it makes me feel so connected to who I am. I never normally mention my last name on here, it's so very french, it's almost like "Smith", and I don't really want to explain it, haha. Since my heritage is French Canadian, my dad still speaks french and most of my extended family (hello you all!), I just like to wear it to feel connected to that.
I just hope this rainy weather stops. I like the overcast-ness, but the rain makes it hard to take pictures! Ahh, the unpredictability of a Michigan autumn.
